This Privacy Policy explains how FoundFans LLC (“FoundFans,” “we,” “us”) handles information in connection with foundfans.com and our related services (the “Service”). It applies to visitors, creators with listings, and account holders.

FoundFans is a directory. Much of the creator information we publish is already public on third-party platforms; this policy covers both that indexed data and the information we collect directly from you.

Publicly available creator information we index

We collect limited, already-public information about creators: display names and handles, public profile URLs and platforms, a single public profile photo, publicly stated subscription pricing, a paraphrased public bio, and a public-activity signal. We do not collect paywalled content or private personal data.

Account information

When you create an account or claim a listing, we collect your email address, authentication details, and any information you choose to provide.

Payment information

When you buy a paid service, payment is handled by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full card numbers; we receive limited transaction details (such as confirmation, amount, and the last digits or token) needed to manage your subscription.

Usage, device & analytics data

We automatically collect technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and interaction events, including through cookies and similar technologies and privacy-respecting analytics.

Communications

When you contact us or submit a request, we keep the content of those communications and our responses.

We use information to:

• operate, maintain, and improve the directory and creator tools;
• publish and keep listings accurate, and process claims, changes, and removals;
• provide paid services such as Protect and Featured placement, and process payments;
• measure traffic and click-outs and produce aggregate analytics;
• communicate with you about your account, requests, and service updates;
• detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security issues, and violations of our Terms;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Legitimate interests — operating a directory of public professional information, securing the Service, and analytics;
• Contract — providing accounts and paid services you request;
• Consent — where required, for example certain cookies or marketing;
• Legal obligation — responding to lawful requests and meeting compliance duties.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the Service and optional analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. Where required by law, we request consent before setting non-essential cookies.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

• Service providers — hosting, payment processing, analytics, email, and similar vendors acting on our instructions;
• Legal & safety — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public;
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy;
• Public listings — the already-public creator information we index is, by the nature of a directory, displayed publicly.

If you are a creator, you can claim your listing to manage it, or request changes or removal at any time. We honor removal requests within 24 hours, return removed listings to a 404, and blacklist the handle from re-indexing.

Submit requests through the removal form. This applies regardless of where you reside and is in addition to any statutory rights described below.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business and legal purposes. Account and transaction records are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet tax, accounting, and compliance obligations. We retain a minimal record of removed handles solely to prevent re-indexing.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. EEA/UK residents have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We operate from the United States, and information we process may be transferred to and stored in the U.S. or other countries with different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for cross-border transfers.

The Service is strictly for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact [email protected].

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
